This has to be, hands down, one of the best burgers with Cole slaw I have ever had! Apparently the owner of the restaurant raises the cattle she uses for the burgers. Phenomenal, you can absolutely taste the difference! Completely unexpected as it’s just a little place you could almost miss on the way to the hot spring. Sweet ladies working the restaurant as well! This is a MUST for anyone driving through.

Stopped off for a pee and a cup of coffee, but ended up staying for some pie and margaritas. The owners were super friendly and great conversationalists. And the green chilli apple pie was amazing.

Debbie’s spot is very charming. We stopped for lunch today at The Chili Depot and the vibes are authentic New Mexican, filled with history and artwork. We had the Reuben and it was fantastic! Thank you Debbie and team for making us feel right at home. -David & Trevor

We always enjoy eating at this restaurant. We travel all the way from Dallas to experience the food and atmosphere of this place. Eating at Chili line depot is part of our tradition.

We needed a bathroom stop on US 285, and after half an hour of nothing, we saw this place with a couple cars in the parking lot. We stopped planning to buy just a coffee (no small business wants you to use their bathrooms without buying at least something), but the pies looked amazing and the soup of the day was a creamy roasted zucchini soup, so we tried them too. Service was fantastic. The waitress seemed genuinely delighted to see a family with a baby coming in, and spent a lot of time explaining the history of the green chili apple pie with pinons (pine nuts) from the local trees. I've never tasted apple pie with green chili before, but the chili taste was just the right amount of background hint to be interesting but not overpowering. All in all this place was a hidden gem!

Had lunch here on Sunday. The meat is local and the fries are homemade. I had the green chili cheeseburger, which was delicious, and my boyfriend had the reuben. It's real corned beef, not deli slices. Five stars right there. They also sell these really nice smudge sticks and have a bunch of handheld pies available to go, which we didn't try but looked delicious.

What a place!! We found this by accident due to the roadworks that caused us to stop and wait….never been thankful for roadworks before!! What a fabulous place….great food, green chile cheeseburger followed by green chile apple pie(take our word on the pie…it is superb! Authentic building with a cool history and very welcoming staff. Do not drive by this little gem!

Great stop off spot for amazing lunch. Had one of the best hamburgers of my life and absolutely the best fries I have ever had. Friend attentive staff kept the coffee mug full. Highly recommend.
